This policy explains what personal data Agave Cocktail Lab collects through this website (agavelisboa.pt), why, and how it's handled. It applies only to this website — not to in-person data handling at the bar (e.g. payment processing at the till), which is covered separately.
What data we collect
We collect personal data in the following ways:
- Enquiry form: when you submit the enquiry form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and any details you provide about your enquiry (date, number of guests, message). This is processed via Netlify Forms and delivered to us by email.
- Google Maps: our Directions page embeds a Google Map. Google may set cookies and collect data when the map loads, governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours.
- Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website — pages viewed, general location (country/city level), device type, and how you arrived at the site. This data is processed by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles this data.
- Meta Pixel: we use Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our Instagram and Facebook advertising. This data is processed by Meta — see Meta's Privacy Policy for details on how Meta handles this data.
Why we collect it
- Enquiry form data is used solely to respond to your enquiry (e.g. booking requests, questions about private events). Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form.
- Table booking widget data (handled by TableAgent, not stored by us) supports making a reservation, a core function of this site. Legal basis: legitimate interest — enabling the site's primary purpose — rather than consent, since it is not gated behind the cookie banner the way Analytics and Maps are.
- Analytics data is used to understand and improve the website — which pages are useful, whether the site works well on mobile, etc. Legal basis: your consent, given via the cookie banner on this site.
How long we keep it
Enquiry form submissions are kept for 1 year from the date of your enquiry and then deleted, unless a longer period is required for an ongoing booking or legal reason. Analytics data retention is set to 14 months, per Google Analytics' configured retention period.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Data may be processed by the following third parties acting on our behalf:
- Netlify (form submission handling and website hosting)
- Google (Maps embed and Analytics)
- Meta (Pixel, for Instagram/Facebook ad performance)
- TableAgent (our table booking form is embedded directly on this site via TableAgent and loads for every visitor to the Book Online section — we treat this as a core function of the site, similar to displaying our phone number, rather than an optional feature requiring separate consent. When you use it, your booking details are processed by TableAgent, not stored by us directly — see TableAgent's own privacy policy for details)
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at agavelablisboa@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Portugal's data protection authority, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
